Corporate Overview

Carroll Construction Company (CCC) was formed in 1984 by current President and CEO John M. Carroll III. Carroll Construction is now in its 18th year of operation. The company is based in Santa Barbara, California. Its main office is located at 216 East Gutierrez Street in the heart of the downtown industrial area, giving the company's employees excellent access to downtown Santa Barbara and Highway 101. Carroll Construction strives to employ individuals with diverse backgrounds, each possessing unique expertise in various aspects of the construction industry. These employees comprise Carroll's estimators, project managers, project superintendents, project engineers, foremen, and tradesmen. Carroll's experience, expertise, and current workload involves commercial projects (e.g. office buildings, tenant improvements) institutional projects (e.g. schools and hospitals), public works (state, county, municipal), and private developments. Carroll personnel are able to self-perform the following work: demolition, concrete, carpentry, and electrical. Carroll projects include new construction as well as several notable renovation/addition/alteration projects. Carroll does not seek underground street utilities or highway projects. Carroll obtains work via both competitive bidding and negotiation. As a means of supporting these methods of securing new work, the company constantly invests in manpower and technological resources. These resources provide a substantive base for Carroll's ability to perform services such as cost estimating, scheduling, value engineering, and constructability analysis, both in the pre-construction and construction phases of a project. Over the years, the company has received numerous accolades and recognition for outstanding quality and performance. Clients of Carroll Construction include Hughes Space & Communication, Delco Electronics, Raytheon Systems, US Federal Penitentiaries, US Air Force, US Navy, St. Francis Hospital, Lompoc Hospital, City of Camarillo, County of Santa Barbara, Montecito Union School District, University of California, Goleta Union School District, Oxnard Unified School District, First Presbyterian Church, and the Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Surety and insurance for Carroll Construction has historically been arranged with SafeCo by The Bond Exchange of Irvine, CA.
